Mindsweeper - Chapter 1
Mindsweeper
Ricky's POV:
Just keep moving, Ricky Just keep moving
I repeatedly chanted those words in my mind as I ran through the forest in a mad fury. My breath was short and gruff, the need for oxygen becoming more of a necessity every second. My brown button-up was just about drenched as sweat dripped down my face, sliding uncomfortably along my backside and into my socks. The muscles in my legs began to give out, ready to shut down completely so I wouldn't be able to move another step. Nevertheless, I continued to run as fast as I possibly could.
Just keep moving God damn it, don't slow down!
I didn't know
Stone wings spread out as if to enfold all who stood under them. Sad eyes, cracked with age, looked down coyly, away from all who stared.
"Aelita!"
It was such a strange thing to see, she thought, her eyes following the graceful curve the of the stone hair that curled around the statue's shoulders.
"Aelita?!"
"Such a cold thing to be so perfect."
"Aelita?"
A warm hand rested on her shoulder, breaking her concentration. "Jeremie!" Aelita turned, smiling at the young man who had come up behind her.
"Are you alright?" Jeremie took his hand back, glancing up at the angel statue Aelita had been staring at so intently for the past few minu
"I am such an idiot."
Aelita buried her face against her hands, grumbling. "Stupid, stupid-"
"Princess, you okay?"
Aelita looked up, still frowning, and looked over at Yumi, who was sitting across from her at the table. She opened her mouth to reply, then shut it again, and shrugged. How could she talk to Yumi or the others if she couldn't make sense to the one who knew her best? Aelita sighed again, and Yumi raised her eyebrows.
"Something's got your back up. What's wrong?" Her dark eyes flashed. "Did Sissy pull something?"
Aelita shook her head, choking out a humorless laugh. "Ha. I wish." She sighed. "I don't know...Yumi...have eve
My name is Annabell Reavers. I'm one of those girl's that are popular, Good grades, Rich, and pretty. With blonde hair, baby blue eyes, and simi tan skin. Yeah, sounds like the perfect life? Well It was for a while. Up untill daddy got a new job. The family was forced to move.
My father bought a new house, a mansion. The mansion in the picture looked like some creepy house in a horror film. You know the kind, with ghost, or killers inside them. The one's with vampire's or were-wolves.
This mansion was built in the early 1800. Giving me more of a reason to say it's haunted. I find the house a bit ominous and creepy.
"Anna dear help your bro
Remembering her day,
And all the words they said.
The images kept taunting her,
Never leaving her alone.
She bawled her eyes out.
Never wanting to let go.
She screamed,
She fought the empty air.
Hiding her emotions,
Showing no despair.
But she finally broke,
She let it all out,
Her screams, her shouts,
And tainted red eyes
She finally gave in.
With a pen and knife,
She told her story that night,
And when she was done,
She took her own life.
The world that I live in is nothing too great
I honestly hate living in this unconscionable state
Of mind where nothing seems to goes right
Where the flicker of hope goes out like a light
I feel like reality is slipping away from me
And I can no longer reach the door I must see
So I reside myself to my darkened thoughts
And remind myself that I don't need to be taught
I sit in a corner in my brain
Trying so hard to keep myself sane
From the chaos that surrounds me so
Ignoring the people that seem to know
More about life than they let on to
Too bad nobody believes it's true
I cover my ears to block out the lies
I can't stand the
